Privacy policy

Brian Kendall Software provides Nova Ledger, a manual personal asset-tracking application. This policy explains what the app collects, why it is used, how it is protected, and how deletion works.

Information collected

Nova Ledger collects the email address used to create and operate an account. Supabase assigns an authenticated user identifier so the service can keep each account separate. Users enter asset names and values. Asset records also contain an app-assigned label and a change-percentage field; Nova Ledger does not calculate market performance. This information is treated as personal financial information.

Nova Ledger does not request contacts, camera, microphone, photos, precise location, health information, payment credentials, bank credentials, or an advertising identifier. It does not use advertising or cross-app tracking technology.

How information is used

The email address and user identifier support account creation, authentication, account management, support, and record ownership. User-entered asset information provides portfolio tracking, calculations, editing, display, and deletion. Nova Ledger does not use these records to execute transactions, make investment decisions, or provide financial advice.

Service provider and sharing

Nova Ledger uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, and related cloud infrastructure. Information is sent to Supabase only to operate the application. Brian Kendall Software does not sell personal information or share it with advertising networks or data brokers.

Account-verification and password-reset emails are delivered through Brevo, the transactional-email provider configured for Supabase authentication. Brevo processes the recipient email address and message content for delivery and keeps transactional event logs. The service has recorded opening and link-click events for authentication emails and may rewrite links before redirecting recipients. Brevo's published data-processing terms say email pixel and link tracking can collect the recipient's IP address, a timestamp, and open/click logs. The current consent settings can limit recipient-level engagement reporting, but they do not guarantee that tracking pixels or link rewriting are disabled; aggregate reporting may remain. The account is configured for one-month log retention and not to store new email previews. These settings do not erase historical logs or previews. Authentication-email events are not used by Brian Kendall Software for advertising.

Information may be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a lawful business transfer. Service providers process information under their applicable terms and data-processing agreements; some provider operations, such as account administration or legal compliance, may be performed for the provider's own purposes.

Security

Nova Ledger sends application data over encrypted HTTPS connections. Supabase authentication identifies the signed-in user, and PostgreSQL row-level security restricts portfolio and deletion-request records to their authenticated owner. No system can guarantee perfect security, so users should protect their email account and password and never send credentials to support.

Retention and deletion

Account and asset records are retained while the account is active so Nova Ledger can provide the requested service. A user can delete individual assets inside the app at any time and can request permanent account deletion through the app or the public deletion instructions.

After verifying the requester, Brian Kendall Software will complete a valid account-deletion request within 30 calendar days. The current production hosting plan does not provide project backups. If the hosting plan or backup configuration changes, this policy and the deletion procedure will be reviewed before the change is relied upon in production.

Records may still be retained temporarily when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or a legal obligation, and then removed or de-identified when that need ends.

Children

Nova Ledger is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Brian Kendall Software does not knowingly collect information from a child through Nova Ledger.

Changes and contact

This policy may change when the application, service providers, legal requirements, or data practices change. This page will show the effective date, and material changes will be communicated through an appropriate product or store notice when required.
